Maureen Regan is being sued by her co-author of "The Beauty Buyble," Paula Conway, who claims Regan is double-dipping by working as a collaborator and then illegally snatching another 15 percent as the literary agent shopping the book. Regan claims that such deals are common in the book world - and said that her one-time friend is now trying to dump her.

"You take a writer that has never been published, you get them a book deal and they say, 'See you later,' " Regan said. "People get ugly when they feel they have a little power and authority."
