Louise Blouin Accuses Former Publishers Suing Her For $250k in Back Pay and Expenses, of Fraud

The embattled art media mogul is facing a mounting pile of lawsuits from former employees and vendors

LOUISE BLOUIN

The fun just never stops at art media company Louise Blouin Media. Its namesake CEO can't be sleeping well at night with a new lawsuit popping up every week. She is being sued by everyone from former publishers of her magazine, to writers around the world, to her former sales head to the company that prints her magazines. But Ms. Blouin is hitting back specifically at two former publishers, accusing them of fraudulent behavior.
“LBM’s counterclaims arise out of Shanley and Buckley’s disloyalty and self-dealing in violation of their duties at LBM,” legal papers claim. In addition, Shanley diverted payments from ad clients to her own company, ArtMedia Co. , it is alleged.
