AT&T Picks Marketing Chief to Lead TimeWarner Integration in Surprise Move

LORI LEE
AT&T may have shocked the media world when it didn't select one of the usual suspects to oversee its integration with media/entertainment giant Time Warner.  It wasn't AT&T's Entertainment Group CEO John Stankey or CFO John Stephens. AT&T CEO Randall Stephenson who along with Time Warner CEO Jeff Bewkes sat in front of congress to calm their nerves about the merger has chosen marketing chief Lori Lee to lead the effort. This appointment has no doubt put a spotlight on Ms. Lee and her future at the company if and when the TimeWarner deal closes.
Lee has previous experience at the helm of the AT&T's Home Solutions arm. In that role, Lee oversaw strategy, marketing and operations for the customer products like broadband services and video entertainment. A 2013 Dallas Business Journal Women in Business and 2014 DBJ Women in Technology honoree, Lee joined AT&T in 1997 and began her career at Price Waterhouse.
