Louise Blouin who was once listed as one of Canada's richest people, is said to have fallen behind again on paying the many freelancers who now produce content for her magazines and websites like Artinfo.com and Art + Auction. According to the New York Post, Ms. Blouin who has been selling off real estate, one of which is still on sale in the Hamptons believed to be valued at around $100 million, to help pay down debt, is in another cash crunch via her media company Blouin ArtInfo Corp. The company is said to be about six months behind in paying its army of freelancers some of whom are owed between $500 and $20,000. Currently the bulk of content for Artinfo.com is being produced out of india. Two years ago we exclusively reported on the shift to India, but even that report included executives based in India who were allegedly not being paid. Watch this space!
