Time Inc UK Just Entered The TV Production Business

Following in the footsteps of Conde Nast, Time Inc's UK division has launched an in house television production operation. The new division will create documentaries for UK broadcasters right out of the pages of Time Inc's brands. The company has put two executives in place to lead the new operation. Miki Mistrati, Time Inc UK’s director and executive producer and Lauren Abery, the development executive and series producer. This is another effort by the company to squeeze revenue from its brands.
Recent efforts by the company to diversify income beyond print advertising include Marie Claire's move into ecommerce and retail by launching Fabled, a beauty brand. Also in July, the company acquired digital agency Collective UK to bolster its digital growth. In September Time Inc announced a redundancy consultation had been launched amid a significant staff restructure.
