Time Inc is expected to report its fourth quarter earnings on February 16 and analysts aren't expecting any good news on the earnings front. In fact, projections show that the company is unlikely to beat estimates and may even report a decline. However analysts expect ad revenue to jump up to the mid to high single digits. Subscription revenue will decline 10% and newsstand is expected to dive 20%. Time Inc has been focused on building its digital offerings via new launches and acquisitions in an effort to shift its dependency from the declining print market. However some new digital launches and acquisitions were recently shuttered like DIY site TheSnug and XOJane while beauty site Mimi was folded into InStyle. The company is currently in talks with potential buyers which include Meredith Corp and a private investment group lead by billionaire Edgar Bronfman.
