The Founders of Mental Floss Are Leaving The Company
|Will Pearson & Mangesh Hattikudur|
Late this afternoon a memo was sent out to staffers of Mental Floss from Chairman John Lagana announcing that founders Will Pearson and Mangesh Hattikudur are both stepping down to pursue other opportunities. According to the memo their departure will not affect current operations. Back in September of last year Mental Floss stopped producing a print magazine after 15 years to focus on its digital efforts. Here is the full memo below:
To all staff:
Mental Floss Founders Will and Mangesh have informed us that they will be stepping down from their current roles to pursue other opportunities and spend more time with their families. While we’re sad to see them go, we’re confident that they‘re leaving both the brand and the Company well-positioned for long-term success.
Mental Floss has experienced extreme growth under Will and Mangesh's leadership — from a niche campus publication with a circulation of just 3,000 print issues to a digital powerhouse with 20 million monthly readers and 30 million monthly video views. All Mental Floss editorial and business operations will continue unchanged.
Please join us next Thursday. March 9th to wish Will and Mangesh all the best at a farewell party — time and place to be determined.
