Bonnier Pulls Out of Deal to Purchase Men's Fitness From American Media Inc (AMI), Wants a Digital Property Instead

Talks between Bonnier Publications and American Media Inc (AMI) over the sale of Men's Fitness are dead due to what the Bonnier side calls “disparate evaluations.” Apparently Bonnier didn't agree with the $30 million price tag AMI slapped on the men's title and tried to talk them down. But it looks like AMI didn't budge and so Bonnier walked away. This is a set back for AMI CEO Dave Pecker who is trying to slash AMI's debt by unloading some of its brands.  It doesn't look like Bonnier will come back to the table as the company is now seeking an acquisition on the digital side. This comes on the heels of possible talks between Bauer Publications and AMI over a possible sale of OK, Star and Globe first reported here on Media Wire Daily.
