How Original: Huffington Post Launches New Live Weekly Video Series Aimed at Millennials

In media the battle for the eyeballs of prized millennials is a constant thing. Companies are always finding new ways to get their attention even if it means pushing the same content in a different form. Some have mastered the game and others? Well they just buy into it like NBC Universal and other big media companies looking to hold on to relevancy. Huffpost already has some millennial eyes but more is always better and so they are launching a new weekly video series for millennials  in partnership with YouNow which allows people to stream live video footage, primarily via their mobile phones.
The new show, which will stream live on YouNow each Wednesday at 6 p.m. Eastern time, is hosted by Jackie Oshry, the Huffington Post’s associate social media editor. Huffington Post has tested eight episodes to date and has already garnered 17,000 fans on YouNow. Initially, the plan was to run each episode for 30 minutes, but test episodes have run closer to an hour, as fans have remained highly engaged throughout the shows, said Ms. Oshry. The plan for the series will be to showcase established YouNow performers as well as other social media stars from platforms like Vine, said Danny Shea, editorial director of the Huffington Post, a unit of AOL, which is owned by Verizon.
