Kevin Martinez hooked by a sweet annual salary to lead the business side as VP and Publisher. Mr. Martinez was so sure about Maxim that he even
raided his old company Conde Nast to build his new team at Maxim. But after just two years, a failed relaunch of the magazine and an owner who keeps stirring the pot to the point of appointing himself editor in chief, Kevin Martinez had enough and quietly left the company on January 29.
