The Woman Who Put The Huffington in Huffington Post is Leaving The Huffington Post

It's a wrap. Huffington Post namesake Arianna Huffington is leaving the company she co-founded more than a decade ago. As it turns out, Ms. Huffington wants to turn her focus to her latest venture Thrive Global which she announced earlier this year with plans to still run Huffington Post. But that balancing act became more and more unrealistic in the days following the launch of Thrive Global.

“When I decided to create Thrive Global, I thought it would be possible to build a startup and continue as editor in chief of the Huffington Post,” said Huffington. “Today, it’s clear that was an illusion. As Thrive Global moved from an idea to a reality, with investors, staff, and offices, it became clear to me that I simply couldn’t do justice to both companies.”
