Gizmodo Media Group is Born, News Corp's Raju Narisetti is Installed as CEO

Univision which purchased Gawker Media and its websites out of bankruptcy has rebranded the company Gizmodo Media Group and has installed News Corp's senior vice president of strategy Raju Narisetti as its CEO. Univision chose the Gizmodo name because it is the biggest of the bunch.
Narisetti is effectively taking over for Nick Denton, who founded Gawker Media and ran it for over a decade. Narisetti is currently the senior vice president of strategy at News Corp, the Murdoch family's print and digital media company. He brings both journalistic expertise and digital media understanding to the job. He will move to Gizmodo Media Group -- named for Gawker's tech blog Gizmodo -- in late October.
