Dodai Stewart Finally Gets The Gig Many Believed She Should've Gotten at Jezebel

Dodai Stewart has finally landed at the top of a masthead. She has been upped at Fusion to Editor in Chief, replacing Alexis Madrigal who is moving into an editor at large role. Back in 2014 when it was announced that she would not be ascending to the top of Jezebel, many were outraged and confused as to why the clear choice wasn't promoted. But the powers that be at Gawker Media at the time didn't see her as the clear choice and instead they brought in Emma Carmichael. Well, with where things ended up with Gawker, maybe the snub was a blessing in disguise, and its hard to ignore the Irony that, the company Ms. Stewart left Gawker to work for back in 2014 (Fusion parent company Univision), ended up buying Jezebel and other Gawker Media sites.
