National Geographic Installs EVP of Digital Product And Chief Marketing Officer

Two big appointments at National Geographic today. The company said it has brought in Jill Cress as its new Chief Marketing Officer. In this role she will oversee global brand vision, brand strategy, creative, consumer marketing, on air media strategy and digital marketing. Ms. Cress joins the Rupert Murdoch controlled National Geographic from MasterCard where she served as EVP of global consumer marketing.

The company also announced today that it is bringing in Rachel Webber as its first EVP of Digital Product, a newly created role. Ms. Webber joins from another Murdoch controlled media entity Fox Television Group. In her new role with NatGeo she will oversee the development of digital products and experiences across owned and partner platforms.
