Time Inc Vice Chairman Norm Pearlstine Taking on Role With Startup Money.net to Help Build That Company's Newsfeed

Time Inc Vice Chairman Norm Pearlstine has more energy than some men his age and even younger. The man has no stop in him. Mr. Pearlstine who recently stepped down as Chief Content Officer for Time Inc and slid into a Vice Chairman role, is taking on a new gig, this time with a startup. He is joining Money.net a financial information company thats looking to take on his former employer, Bloomberg LP. At Money.net he is tasked with building the company's newsfeed which he will start to do by hiring dozens of journalist and putting them to work with 75 programmers. He will take on this new role while remaining Vice Chair of Time Inc. A little job security being that Money.net is a start up and all?
I think I know what the customer is looking for, and I think I know where smart developers and journalists working together can add value,” Mr. Pearlstine said in an interview. “My bias is toward not spending a lot of time duplicating things that everybody else is doing — trying to think about what timely, usable information is for a professional investor.
