Andy Serwer Not a Dinosaur After all, Named Editor of Yahoo Finance

Andy Serwer who once ruled Fortune Magazine for 8 years and who was fired because he wasn't on the digital cutting edge of things, will gain some digital chops as the new editor of Yahoo's finance vertical.

“He brings a wealth of financial journalism and editing experience to the table,” wrote Kathy Savitt, Yahoo’s CMO and head of media, in an announcement. “During his long tenure at Time Inc., Andy oversaw the relaunch and redesign of Fortune’s magazine and website. He has the perfect balance of experience and expertise to help take Yahoo Finance to the next level and amplify the stories behind the stocks.”
