Dujour Founding editor in chief Nicole Vecchiarelli has officially departed the magazine/website and is now said to be moving on to something else. Could her next editor in chief gig be back at InStyle magazine which currently does not have an Editor In Chief? Ms.Vecchiarelli's planned departure from Dujour was made public back on June 29. InStyle's editorial director Ariel Foxman's departure from that magazine was made public on July 19 , which is just about two and half weeks later. Time Inc has not named a permanent replacement for the fashion magazine. Instead they installed Lisa Arbetter, currently the editor of Time Inc.’s StyleWatch as interim editor of InStyle as it continues to "search" for a permanent replacement for Mr. Foxman. In speaking about Mr. Foxman's departure, a Time Inc spokesperson said that the company is looking for more digital content from the magazine. At Dujour Ms. Vecchiarelli oversaw multi-platform content development for the luxury publication. On top of that, she spent 4 years as Instyle's senior editor before joining Dujour. Ms. Vecchiarelli's reason for leaving was to pursue other opportunities just like her former co-editor in chief Keith Pollock did when he returned to Interview Magazine as Editor in Chief. Could Ms. Vecchiarelli make a similar triumphant return to the magazine she onced worked to run the show as Editor in Chief? It's not far-fetched at all, and her resignation from Dujour, followed by Ariel Foxman's resignation from InStyle two and a half weeks later, and Time Inc's reluctance to name a permanent editor in chief right now, is just all too coincidental for us. Sure we could be wrong, but just remember where you read it first if in fact Nicole Vecchiarelli does return to InStyle as its new Editorial chief.
